What reserving an EMA Kit for KES 0 today means, and what happens when your kit is ready. Written to be read. If anything is unclear, ask us before you reserve.
This Pre-Order Agreement (the “Agreement”) governs pre-orders of the EMA Kit placed before general availability. By submitting the “Reserve your EMA Kit” form and confirming the declaration of intent, you (“you”) agree to these terms.
“We” / “us” means Open Energy Labs Ltd, 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom, the company behind Energy Makers Academy (EMA). The “Kit” means the EMA Kit: solar panel, Power Box, LED lamp, toolkit, experiments bag and access to the EMA app curriculum. A “pre-order” means a reserved place in line for Batch 01 together with your declared intention to purchase.
Submitting the reservation form places a pre-order with nothing to pay today. It reserves your place in line for Batch 01 and records your intention to purchase at the Batch 01 price. A pre-order is not yet a completed sale: the sale completes when you confirm and pay after our production notice (section 3).
The Batch 01 price is KES 55,000 per kit. This price is held for Batch 01 pre-orders that are confirmed at production notice. Any delivery charges will be communicated clearly before you pay anything.
When Batch 01 is ready to ship (expected Q3 2026), we will contact you using the details you gave in the form. You then choose to either:
If we cannot reach you, or do not hear back within a reasonable window, we may release your place to the next person in line.
The Kit is in active development. Final contents, specifications and delivery timing may change. Any material change will be communicated to you at or before production notice, and you can always cancel if the change doesn't suit you.
You may cancel your pre-order at any time before you pay, and we may cancel any pre-order, by email to info@energymakers.academy. Because the deposit is KES 0, there is nothing to refund. Cancelling simply releases your place in the queue.
A pre-order does not oblige us to deliver a Kit, and delivery requires your confirmation and payment at production notice. Until then, either side can step away under section 5.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to this Agreement or any pre-order is limited to the amount you have actually paid us under it.
